The ceiling looks good. Since I’m blogging, I just thought I’d point out that Monday night NASCAR is quite awesome…and what is up with this race!! Hitting the jet dryer is nuts!

Sanding

Things are a real mess now! I’d imagine they will get worse before they get better.

This area isn’t even the work area! Good thing I got some cheap furnace filters to keep switching out.

Dry Time

I started the dehumidifier last night and dropped the humidity downstairs from 88% to 68% by today. Added some fans today to help things along.

Update on the old home….I do not miss those crazy drifts!! That truck should fit nicely into the garage.

I threw on the dehumidifier since it wasn’t drying too fast.

Drywall Hung

4 guys did everything in about 3 hours…amazing.

Insulation and Heavy Lifting

The insulation is in. The acoustics of the room are notably changed. The rooms are actually starting to look like something. The drywall has been hauled in as well.

Progress has Slowed

Thursday the trim was measured and ordered. Turns out our doors are 5 weeks out

Friday we received our insulation.

Saturday we spend the majority of the day selecting our granite, finding a built in refrigerator, selecting tile, selecting plumbing hardware, selecting paint, looking for lights, and attended the home show (maybe got a cool backsplash idea). You may also notice I visited the Apple Store and got a new backside for my phone so you not longer have to look at ‘Vaseline’ pictures (and you thought I was just putting one of them fancy effects on my photos).

Sunday I installed some speaker wire for the deck.

Lights, Boxes, and Fans

Finished up enough behind the scenes stuff that insulation will come tomorrow.

Electrical and Tub

Generally it is ill advised to mix electricity and water.

Concrete, HVAC and 1st inspection

Got the hole in the floor filled and pile of ruble out today. HVAC was completed. Electrician was delayed a day.

Theater Wiring & Central Vac

I did the guts portion of the theater wiring…we’ll see the glory of it later! Central vac plumbed and wired as well.
