4/13/09 Week in Review

This week we took Monday off to work around the house. We did OK. The weather was crappy. Jodi took off then for the rest of the week on a work trip. I kept busy with work and tuning in the home theater. It is really rocking although I am still working out the low end a bit. It' nice and clean but needs a little more power. My Dad came to help out again on Saturday. Things started well and we finished up a few of the last little projects we had. After that Murphy seemed to drop in and nothing else worked (kinda like my garage door opener). Any how, the worst part is that Jodi sprained her ankle when she forgot we had more stairs in our new house than our old! Other than that I keep hammering on the drums to try to get back into shape. I would have spent more time on the treadmill but until I fixed the power running kept blowing the circuit!

4/6/09 Week in Review

Yea...so that was weeks ago. I really have no idea what went on. That Friday was good Friday and we went down to your old house to exchange the dish washer. Saturday was decent weather and we cleaned up/unpacked the garage. It was good. Sunday was Easter and we had a great Easter dinner of hot dogs!

I forgot to mention the 4 inches or so of snow we had gotten the Sunday prior. Fortunately by mid week most had melted.

3-30-09 Week in Review

I worked last week and we continued to clear stuff up around the house. I can't really remember all that we did...hang pictures, unpack a few boxes etc.. I took Friday off any my Dad came over to help work on wiring projects. First up was the hot tub. We got that running and it was good. Next up was some outlets in the garage. They are fine except that my air compressor keeps tripping the 20A circuit. Crappy circuit? Crappy wiring? Who knows, I never had that issue before and I ran two 500W halogen bulbs on the same circuit. Finished Friday off with wiring the rear surround speakers followed promptly by movie night.

Saturday we tore into putting outlets in the drum room...easy enough and that completed all that I hoped to get done. So we tackled the garage door opener...that's when things started to go downhill. Moving the old opener over to the extra garage was easy enough...as was installing the new opener. Problem was (is)....the clickers only work within like 6 feet of the opener. I guess if my garage was only like 3 feet big with no door it wouldn't be an issue (although there would be lots of other issues) but it's not so big problem. 2 hours on the phone with Chamberlain just got a new circuit board coming my way. An exchange (of a 10 foot long fully assembled opener) at Menard's didn't fix it either (although they did have a huge sale so $$).

Sunday I got the drum room/studio/rehearsal space all assembled. Check it out!
